3D Juggling 639: We Don’t Know

Claire writes “What happened to Flight MH370 is becoming more of a mystery.  They’ve set a deadline that they need to find the black box soon or it will remain a mystery and never be a puzzle or a problem they can solve.  It’s interesting to notice how different groups are managing the tension of simply not knowing what’s happening and the suspicion that someone must know and they are just hiding it.

At work many of us love problems or puzzles that have a solution.  Yet uncertainty and all kinds of other factors mean that we too are often dealing more with mystery than puzzles.  That’s when learning to live with the tension of not knowing becomes such an important part of the way we engage.  It’s not easy.  But it’s reality. And the first step is to acknowledge that we don’t know.  Which takes bravery.”
