Claire Pedrick MCC
Founding Partner & Coach
Human. Pilgrim. Friend. Author.
Claire has been coaching for over 30 years and established 3D Coaching in the late 1990s. Claire developed the coaching container and STOKeRS metamodel as a way of simplifying 3D’s offering.
Claire is interested in how we hold presence in coaching and work in partnership in spite of power differences.
Claire lives in Worcestershire with her husband and they collect original art. Their second home is a camper van. Every so often she goes for really long walks.
Su BLanch PCC
Managing Partner & Coach
Coach. Faclitator. Reflector. Learning enthusiast.
Su has been working with 3D Coaching for 18 years, as well as working in HR and recruitment. As a coach she does things simply, ensuring that the thinker gets where they need to. Su also works with groups and teams, creating safe environments for challenge and movement, and working emergently so that she is hearing what is going on with the people in the room and works with what’s present.
Su really enjoys enabling people individually and collectively to progress so that they leave the room with different thoughts, feelings or knowledge from when they joined it.
Su lives in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, with two teenage daughters and a ridiculous cockerpoo. Her favourite days include sunshine, laughter and long walks in the great outdoors.
Ruth Bennett PCC
Development Partner & Coach
Coach. Learner. Friend.
Before becoming a full-time coach, Ruth worked within HR, Senior Leadership and youth work. Ruth started working with 3D in 2018 and, as well as delivering coaching and training, spends a good chunk of her time communicating with our brilliant customers.
Working in a range of settings, Ruth coaches and trains with friendly curiosity, deep listening, challenge and warmth.
Helping people feel heard and move forward. Being real and human and working things out together.
Ruth lives in Hertfordshire with her two children (and sometimes foster cats) and loves being with people in person. She loves a good challenge, although since hanging up her running shoes she is currently looking for the next one….
Ness Callis
Office Manager
Ness started at 3D in 2019 working a few hours to support and then took over as Office Manager in the middle of the pandemic and helped restructure a new simplified way of working at 3D. She has come from a varied range of admin jobs over the years before taking time off to raise her son.
This role is never the same from one day to the next and you can never pre-empt the next question. From handling general bookings, E mails to invoicing and completing complex supplier forms, the information Ness holds is extensive, hence why we call her desk “Ground Control”!
Ness lives not far from our office in Letchworth, Hertfordshire with her husband and ever growing son with continuing changing challenges that brings.
Rebi Hedger ACC
Associate Coach
Family. Breakthrough. Cheerleader. Coach.
Rebi met 3D in 2019, trained with them and began as an associate in 2021. Rebi has always had involvement in leadership roles throughout her university, church & working life. Within all these contexts, Rebi is fuelled by a love for people and a desire for everyone to experience life in all its fullness.
Rebi enjoys providing a safe space for people, and seeks to bring both encouragement and challenge to the conversation. Her passion for others also drives Rebi to share, teach and train in coaching skills too.
In 2022, Rebi became a mum to Simeon and enjoys finding little joys in the everyday alongside husband Jack – whether that’s growing vegetables, exploring new places, cooking delicious food or going on long walks with friends.
Alan Gyle
Associate Coach
Alan is an experienced coach, organisational consultant and facilitator who brings a psychoanalytic framework of understanding to organisational development, group process and obstacles to effective team functioning.
Alan’s passion is working in the moment with the experience of individuals and teams to help them to identify their real issues, their development needs and to address their ‘health’ and effectiveness.
Alexandru Popa-Antohi
Associate Coach
Connected. Playful. Thoughtful. Poking.
Alex is a Team and Executive Coach, and Business Psychologist with over 15 years of international business and organisational experience across Europe, MEA and the US and has worked with 3D since 2019.
Alex is comfortable to work around the edges in complex and non-linear contexts. He names the unspoken tactfully and holds the space to enable brave and supportive conversations.
Alex lives in Vienna, Austria where he enjoys being close to culture and nature. He practices Japanese jiu jitsu twice a week and loves listening to big-band jazz music
Nathan Whitbread ACC
Associate Coach
Coach. Trainer. Speaker. Facilitator.
Nathan joined the team in 2024 and focuses on neurodiversity in the workplace. Nathan’s philosophy hinges on creating spaces where individuals and teams can amplify their strengths and manage the things they find difficult so they can be the most effective. Developing the idea that it’s more important to be a great coach than an expert and keeping coaching simple so that it best serves the thinker.
Nathan is father to four children and would also call himself an adventurer, currently on a mission to have one weekend adventure every year. These included cycling across Wales, canoeing down the river Wye and wild camping, swimming in the sea and just about anything that brings a smile to the face.
Zoe Dickinson PCC
Associate Coach
Coach. Learner. Family. Authenticity.
Zoe joined 3D in 2022 and has been coaching for 12 years. Zoe worked in both the corporate and the charitable sectors for 16 years, leading teams, speaking, delivering training and project management. Zoe believes transformation happens when both the coach and the thinker come to coaching as they are (not who they think they ought to be) and leave with a deeper sense of who they want to be.
Creating spaces where people can do their very best thinking. Facilitating partnership that enables individuals to discover new possibilities and pathways.
She lives in Kent with her husband and son. Zoe loves getting outside and whenever possible getting to the coast, either in Kent or Cornwall.
How we work
At 3D Coaching, we believe great coaching is about being human and keeping things simple. Here’s what that means for you as you work with us:
- Being Human: What matters to us is that we can all be vulnerable and real enough in our work: that’s what you’ll experience from us in our training and our coaching, and what we’ll be encouraging you to do
- Keep it Simple: Coaching is a conversation between two people where someone feels seen and heard and gets new insights into their own stuff. No special powers or jargon—just clear, everyday language. We teach you to work like this, too.
If a coach is overthinking, it’s likely that the other person is underthinking. We teach you only what you need to co-create effective conversations; tools come later (if at all). Doing less means remembering less, which is freeing.
- Learn by Doing: We recommend learning in small, frequent steps so you can apply that immediately in real situations. Our training involves lots of practice, no reading or essays, and is affordable with pay-as-you-go options.
- Safety Matters: We prioritise safety in our coaching and training; making sure everyone feels secure and understood. Our work is inclusive and accessible, and because we check in during every conversation, you can say if it isn’t safe.
All our training aligns with professional coaching competencies. You can pursue accreditation if you wish, by going through a few additional stages with the Professional Coaching Body that you choose.
Principles & Philosophy
Coaching is deceptively simple yet powerful, especially when we set aside the need to be the expert.
As we continue learning, the importance of simplicity and humanity become increasingly clear to us.
Here are the 3D Principles of Coaching (revised August 2018). You will find practical tips and examples of how to use them in our blog
Contract | Ask them | Keep the responsibility in the middle | We process – you action | Change hats with consent | Be silent and ask questions where necessary | Change the medium | Ask questions from a different place | Notice don’t diagnose | Do it now | When it’s over, it’s over | Don’t talk to the wavy people | Show the working out | Be unconditionally positive about time | Move!
It’s simple! Simple doesn’t always mean easy.
