3D Ideas 1146 – Movement

Zoe writes: “When we moved house 5 years ago, my ‘office’ (the room where I had a desk!) changed.

I used to work in our converted loft. My desk faced a magnolia wall and I’d sometimes move my chair to look out of the small window where I could see hills in the distance. But I felt stuck. In our current home I deliberately positioned my desk by a window overlooking gardens and trees. I love it.

It’s easy to think that the house move enabled this change and in some ways that’s true. However I could have worked in a different room in our old house or found a cafe with a view to work from.

In every situation there are numerous possibilities and sometimes movement helps us see them with fresh eyes. One of our coaching principles at 3D is Move. When we’re stuck, a change in posture, standing up, leaning back, moving an object, can be all we need to see things differently. “
