Claire writes: “I walked down to the beach from the apartment this morning where I’m writing to watch the sun rise. In the distance, I could see an amazing solid multicoloured lump of reds and oranges. Apart from remembering the proverb: ‘Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning’, and remembering to take my coat out later, it was the most beautiful thing.
By the time I got to the beach, the bright colours had split into a million pieces, the sky was opening up and the sun was beginning to rise over the horizon. There’s something for me about how it’s the opening up that begins to bring transformation. I’m still on the beach. The sky is still orange and the bits are illuminating all sorts of things. New awareness comes when the solid colour is broken up a bit and we have the opportunity to see in different ways, discard some things and maybe put other bits back together differently.”
