3D Ideas 1030: A Very Small Acorn

Claire writes: “Facebook has just reminded me of a post I wrote at the beginning of 2017: I plan to walk the Letchworth Greenway one day every month this year. We want to raise loads of money for the Motor Neurone Disease Fightback fund. If 9 different people come on each walk and we each raise £100 per walk that’s £12000. Walk once. Sponsor us. Or walk every month. More details later. Let me know if you’re interested in walking?

That post was the beginning of hundreds of small steps, many conversations, thousands of miles of walking, over £100 000 and an award from the UK Prime Minister.  It was a very small acorn from which grew a massive oak tree.  And I couldn’t have done any of it without a large team of people who turned up, nor without space and time every so often to notice what was happening! They supported – and they challenged me to do even more!

I didn’t hire a coach because I had no desire to start a movement – that was an accidental side effect. But this story is a great example of the value of having people on your side! So please contact su@3dcoaching.com if you’d like to explore having a coach on your side – as a one off conversation or over time.
