Claire writes: “Someone reminded me this week of our much watched video about why it’s important in coaching to talk to the person in front of us more than the problem – or, as I call them, the wavy people.
Lately I have been thinking about where, in conversations, we turn up or indeed turn down the volume from the other players in a situation that’s being described to us and when the wavy people are very loud. Let’s recognise that there are many situations at work and in life where we need to pay more attention to – and turn up the volume on the voices that are already present and that are not being heard.”
