At the heart of our training

We understand the balance between vocational and professional.

We are committed to support clergy to develop in their own ministry and vocation.

We have contributed to ‘The Curates Guide’, Ministry 3.0: How Today’s Church Leaders are using Coaching to Transform Ministry’ and writtenHow to Make Great Appointments in the Church: Calling, Competence and Chemistry’

We believe that coaching is a holy space, drawing on Christian tradition in many different ways, and that conversations that are high in grace and truth have an important place in the church.

We continue to learn and develop through the work we do with you – and are continually exploring the theology and spirituality of coaching.

We have worked with every diocese in the Church of England and the Church in Wales, in the Methodist Church and with other denominations of all tradition.

Church leaders

The role of a church leader is hugely varied, and so we understand that it’s not simply one-size-fits-all when it comes to coaching. However, our experience supporting church leaders has shown us the value of making space for transformational conversations. Here we highlight three resources for church leaders.

“This time and process has taken a weary priest on the verge of giving up and given her a fresh perspective and a new freedom to live out her ministry as she was called to.  I’m exceptionally grateful.”

Coaching / Work COnsultancy

Coaching 3-4 times a year might be just the right support you need to implement the ideas which come up in your reviews. Our conversations are, we are told, high in grace and truth.

Coaching Training

This is our foundation coaching training. It is about 1-1 conversations. You will work less hard and your conversations will have more impact.

Moving On Resources

If it’s time to apply for a new role and you are unsure what it might be, how to fill out the paperwork, or how to be yourself at interview, you’re not alone. You may simply need some information  – check out these videos.

Teams & Dioceses

All our training is about having effective and transformational conversations. We use our expertise and experience to help increase skills across teams and Dioceses.

Ministerial Training Review

If Ministerial Review is in service of affirming and developing vocation and calling and encouraging professional, personal and spiritual development, what skills do reviewers need to refine?

By the end of our training, your reviewers will be able to:

  • Use existing skills even more effectively
  • Get clear boundaries about what is in and what is outside the review, using 3D’s STOKeRS
  • Manage the tension between a good process and progress
  • Use the distinctive listening required by review
  • Keep God in the picture
  • Understand where the pastor does or does not fit into the review process

Moving On Workshops

Do you want to equip your clergy to navigate the appointments process?

When it’s time to move on, clergy bring evidence from every part of their life. And are usually not very fluent or confident in communicating it! It’s common to find people who can’t, won’t or don’t know how to engage with the process of applications and interviews.
