Claire writes: “Last week, Mike and I did a tour of the Morgan Motor Company Factory. For about 100 years they have hand made classic cars.
The skill of the craftspeople requires them to do almost everything by eye, by feel and by intuition using the embodied wisdom they have gained through a 5 year apprenticeship. After their apprenticeship, they have 3 more years where their work is closely supervised. Only after 8 years, do they have the skill and the confidence to produce high quality cars.
Deeping our craft takes time, wisdom, practice, and a more experienced eye to support us as we make it our own.”
