Claire writes: “We have recently helped out a friend with meals for a few days while their husband was in hospital. On returning some plates to us, another neighbour commented on what we were doing. It opened up a conversation: if someone in the family likes cooking, and it’s affordable, making one extra dinner is easy. What is much more unusual is finding someone who is willing to receive.
Brené Brown says: “Until we can receive with an open heart, we’re never really giving with an open heart. When we attach judgment to receiving help, we knowingly or unknowingly attach judgment to giving help.”
It seems there is always more to learn here. What do you think?”
