You need to start somewhere. Start by getting something—anything—down on paper. What I’ve learned to do when I sit down to work on a shitty first draft is to quiet the voices in my head.”
- I wasn’t very well known when I wrote Simplifying Coaching and now we know people will buy the next one if they liked the last one. That’s pressure!
And the learning? Well, given there’s a chapter on being vulnerable, we are living what we are writing. And dogged determination before tells me that I can usually write something half decent on the other side of the bad bit (even when my school English teacher told me I couldn’t write).
