There is an appropriate level of theory and each course is individually modelled to meet the specific needs of participants.
The course is based on Revans’ insights that the Action Learning process integrates: research (into what is obscure); learning (about what is unknown); and action (to resolve the issue) into a single activity. Participants develop an attitude of questioning and reflection to help individuals and organisations transform themselves in a rapidly changing world. Action Learning can be a useful tool to further develop coaching skills in staff.
It also covers the rigorous core coaching competencies of the International Coach Federation, Hawkins and Smith’s CLEAR Coaching model and adult learning theory based on Kolb’s Learning Cycle.
This course can stand alone or be used towards portfolio accreditation with the ICF for those wishing to take coaching further.
Who for?
- anyone wanting to use reflective practice in groups – managers, leaders, ministers
- independent coaches and consultants
- Whether you are a beginner or have experience, this training will develop and stretch your ability to manage a group process
Numbers
There are a maximum of 6 delegates on each course so that there is plenty of mentoring and feedback. All delegates are given individualised feedback during the day and written feedback afterwards.
Action Learning Facilitator Training has been run by 3D Coaching since 2004. Participants are encouraged, if appropriate, to continue to develop coaching skills and work towards ICF Accreditation.
This course provides 6 hours of the face to face training required by the ICF.
We believe in ongoing coaching supervision and professional development for people learning to use reflective practice. Recognising that not all organisations have the resources to provide this internally, we offer participants on this course free access to group supervision. This is currently by bi-monthly teleconference calls. There is also a drop session after every course we run in London from 5 – 6pm
