DiSC and Recruitment

DiSC is a communication profiling tool which enables you to understand your own and others communication preferences and the impact these may have on others.
  • Communication styles have a big impact on our effectiveness and how we work with others
  • How often have you interviewed for a post, known what you were looking for, but not known how to select it from your candidates?
With DiSC you can identify the communication characteristics (and thus behaviours) that the role needs before the interviews by completing a Role Behaviour

Analysis questionnaire (RBA)
Candidates complete a separate questionnaire (on-line) or personal profile, which is their evaluation of their own communication.  These have proved to be remarkably accurate!

The comparison of these 2 tools (which is displayed graphically) gives the interviewer a more objective basis from which to ask questions.  As an added bonus the tool generates questions for the interviewer around the areas where the requirements of the role (from RBA) and the personal profile differ, allowing exploration of learning and development requirements and closeness of match for the post.

The detail in the personal profiles is not limited to selection.  It has an on-going use once you have employed the “right” candidate as it outlines information around ways to develop, motivate and identifies possible challenges for the individual.
