Lynn is an outstanding listener quickly developing trust and making clients feel heard. She challenges and helps other people to work through issues and across barriers and look for commonality around their core purpose as a team or role within it. Able to surface the mistrust in a group’s dynamics, Lynn will ask the question that will shift her clients focus into finding a productive way forward. She is willing and able to take a group or individual to the edge of their learning in a way which is safe for her and for them. When groups are stuck, Lynn can creatively think of a way to enable the group to move through.
Lynn works with individuals and groups in the public sector, private sector and with charities.Clients have included senior managers and directors of organisations. She has often used her coaching skills to develop individuals, teams, organisations and mediate or resolve conflicts. Clients often feed back that from within a safe environment they have found her a very challenging coach!
Originally trained as a Speech and Language Therapist, Lynn became nationally recognised for work as a specialist in dysphagia (swallowing difficulties).Within this field she presented at national conferences and reviewed specialist publications.Over time her interest shifted to teaching and facilitation in the NHS and more recently to many professional groups, both locally and nationally.
Lynn initially received facilitation training through the Bucks Health Authority Preferred Facilitation Network and then completed the Newcastle College distance learning Diploma in Coaching.Aware that this did not give rigour to practical coaching skills she undertook Coaching for Excellence (3D) and the Coaching Development Certificate in Coaching. Most recently she has acquired her Professional Certified Coach accreditation.
