Su Blanch

Su Blanch began her career within the Pharmaceutical industry. Her expertise is in HR and training and development. Su is experienced in facilitating learning through a range of techniques including coaching, action learning, classroom-based training and enabling self-managed learning. She demonstrates passion for delivering learning interventions which create real value and drive changed behaviours.

She has extensive experience of coaching clergy at all levels around moving jobs and is co-author of “How to Make Great Appointments in The Church: Calling, Competence and Chemistry”

HR Development

  • Designed and responsible for delivery of “Aspiring Manager Programme”, introducing concept of Self-Managed Learning to group of high-achieving individual contributors. Learning takes place through diverse approaches including workbooks, coaching, mentoring, learning sets and workshops
  • Selection Specialist: Designed many competency based interviews for use in selecting for diverse roles; designed assessment centre exercises; assessor for assessment centres
  • Designed interactive salary statements to meet organisational needs aiding managers’ informed decision making
  • Responsible for Job Profiling project: Included running investigative workshops with job-holders, subsequently writing Job Profiles, getting buy-in with senior management, and designing and delivering training sessions ‘Competencies for Managers’

Lecturer

  • Lecturing on CTP and CPP programmes at North Herts College.  Sessions include CPIS, Employment legislation, Identifying Training Needs, Evaluating Training, and Training Budgets

  • Facilitating parenting programmes for groups though local schools
