Kirsty is an experienced senior manager in Local Government. She is a strategic thinker with a background in organisational development and transformation. As a senior manager she was responsible for setting strategic direction, policy development and implementing large scale transformation projects that have included leadership development, capacity building in times of reduction, IT transformation projects and learning and development. Kirsty is passionate about working with organisations to effect change and can draw on a range of skills and experience to facilitate change happening. Kirsty also has experience of working on social enterprise projects and is interested in how social media and technology generally can support organisations and people in an increasingly networked world.
Believing that people have within them the ideas and creativity to find their own solutions in a way that resonates for them is important to Kirsty. She provides clients with a safe space in which to think, explore possibilities and identifies the resources required to make change happen. Her coaching style is gentle but challenging and she encourages clients to think through possibilities in relation to the multiple contexts we operate in.
Kirsty’s broad experience across a range of sectors in challenging times has meant that she has had to adapt to situations and work creatively. She takes working creatively in to her coaching in order to facilitate clients coming to their own solutions, and is interested in how narratives and patterns emerge and what they might mean for organisations and people. Underlying all of this is a fundamental belief that people are not the problem, the problem is the problem and as such each situation needs to be recognised as unique and requires a unique response.
