Many of the comments below are unsolicited messages which have come to us as feedback after the day. Some are comments made at the close of a workshop. If there was some negative feedback to balance all this I would feel duty bound to say so… but there isn’t !

'An absolutely superb day! I came with no preconceived ideas. I found I was not alone and (through others) found a much better perspective on my issues. I have moved during one day from feeling very negative to very positive. It’s been a catalyst to move me on – it was wonderful.'

Linda (leaving her job as a Senior Executive in a multinational Pharmaceutical Company)

'It helped me put my current situation into context. It was very refreshing to meet others - I found it really, really useful to hear their experiences and understand my own better'.

Lesley-Ann (Project Manager at US-owned Pharmaceutical Company)

'Really powerful and extremely valuable. You have got something in "Whatever Next…?" which, as far as I am aware, no one else is doing. It’s a very positive approach.

It’s taken me 10 years to get on this type of day. Above all, it put everything in place and sorted out all the scrambled thoughts that had been going on in my head.'

    Anon

'I thought I’d drop you a brief note to say that I really enjoyed it. It has given me the confidence to take control over my career (and my life) and I have been walking around with a smile on my face all day today!'

Holly (employee of City Investment Bank)

'The workshop that I attended had a very significant personal impact, and was by far the most useful tool out of any of the courses / outplacement services from that first redundancy. It certainly helped me work out personal priorities, and to find a role that picked up on experience in everything from business development to training to presentations'.

Ges (on leaving a Senior Banking Manager's job)

'A lot of things that came up were things that for me were already apparent; I needed a space (a safe space) in which to voice them and in which to express myself and I felt this was achieved and I was listened to and encouraged.

The small group support was vital and it was also important to support others. I have vivid memories of key points in the day which were like 'aha' moments for people and I found that process rewarding and nurturing.

Articulation of something - and the combination of different learning styles i.e. verbal, visual, creative, vocal etc is very powerful. It is almost as if you have committed to something by articulating it to others in this way. It is then your responsibility ... to take this forward (or not).'

Emma Sue (Business School Lecturer and Management Consultant)

'"Whatever Next....?" is the best thing I’ve been on, bar none, and I’ve been on a few! It’s part of what I now want to do.'

Tracey (Managing Director of an Educational Outsourcing Company)

'“Whatever Next….?” has helped me better appreciate the value of my own story, and the profound impact it can have on other people's stories. It has also helped me form a vision of my own future that is much bigger, and goes far beyond my earlier perspectives.

With absolutely nothing imposed: no company's, boss's, or trainer's agenda; no deadlines; no must haves or oughts; the workshop simply and powerfully enables each person to discover a fresh mindset for their future.'

Guy ( Church Leader and Training Consultant)

'We as a team have come away from the day really fired up with an enthusiasm to progress our values development and individual life career plans'

David (32 year old Marketing Director of a City Investment house and now more senior elsewhere. Used it both individually and for team building)

'The whole process challenged me to take a long hard look at my aims and aspirations. Changing direction has been the most positive thing that I have done for a long time and the Whatever Next...? workshop was key to that outcome. The space to explore thoughts and feelings and share them with others on the same journey in a neutral environment was powerful and cathartic. The feeling that I was unhappy in my current role became grounded in a real appreciation of my aims and values but it was not just paralysis by diagnosis. The real emphasis was on the future.'

Ian (CEO of a Professional Institute)

'I found Monday's seminar to be a real turning point. I recognised some large issues that I was experiencing and realised a few things about myself that had been hiding just under the surface - which were bursting to come out! I have made some positive moves in the direction I want to be going in and it feels great!'

'I really thought the seminar was superb and will only be too happy to recommend to others that I know… and then a few days later:

Just a little update on my progress since Monday....
I have compiled a portfolio, learnt how to develop my own pictures in a darkroom, and have arranged to go on shoots with a couple of top notch photographers!'

Caroline (24 year old marketing coordinator who is really wanting to be a photographer!)

'I discovered that my situation was by no means unique. The workshop helped me to learn to accept that my transition from full to part-time working was not a vacuum to be avoided but a space to be explored fully… an opportunity to put energy into achieving a more fulfilling work-life balance.

The methodology you introduced in “Whatever Next….?” , both workshop and book, helped me define the goals I wanted to achieve, and from there the paths open to me. I am grateful for the help and advice you provided.'

Neil (Just leaving his post as Chief Executive of a well known UK plc)

'Thank you once again for an enlightening day and for your insights – the day has definitely helped me to see life differently, especially from a work perspective, and has left me feeling rather excited about the future.'

Rachel ( 29 year old Chartered Accountant, trained at one of the major firms, but now questioning whether her future lies with numbers!)
